Best Cocktails in the Caribbean

Updated: Nov 28, 2018

Considering the frigid temperatures & seemingly endless array of storms this winter, there's little doubt you've been dreaming of warmer weather, sunnier skies & of course, an exotic cocktail in your hand as you dip your toes into the sand. A luxury vacation to the Caribbean might be just what you need, & while you're there, you'll certainly find a bevy of spots worth stopping for a beverage., The only question is, which places serve up the best concoctions?

Here are some of our favorite hangouts for imbibing while enjoying the tropical scenery:

Da Conch Shack & RumBar – Turks & Caicos This laid-back local hot spot boasts picnic tables right on Blue Hill Beach. Since the conch comes from the pens directly on the water's edge, you know it's as fresh as it gets – so dig in to the conch salad, chowder or the extra crispy conch fritters. The signature drink at Da Conch Shack & RumBar is the Conch Knocker martini, which features a blend of rums & some super secret ingredients. However, it's worth trying Mike's Frozen Coconut & Rum Coffee for a dessert-like delight. The best part? All of the cocktails here are budget-friendly.

C Bar – St. Lucia If you're looking for a little sultry ambience with your sipping, C Bar is the place. This elegant spot, which is located at the Calabash Cove resort, has a lounge-like atmosphere & live entertainment every day from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. All of the drinks here have an island influence, from the Lucian Mama to the Tropical Breezini. Don't miss the signature Calabash Cove Bombshell, which combines grapefruit, cranberry & lime juice with vodka & decadent crème de banane.

Nipper's – The Bahamas What started as a quaint little beach bar in Great Guana's Cay is now a multi-level family-friendly establishment. Not only will you get a breathtaking view from the dune at Nipper's, but the kiddies will be amused by the small pools nearby for splashing. Try the blackened dolphin quesadilla for something different, or stick to a tried-and-true cheeseburger. Whatever you do, make sure to was it all down with the famous, potent & delicious Nipper Juice.

Moomba Beach Bar Aruba Imagine lounging under an enormous palapa with a frozen banana daiquiri in your hand as you look out at the Caribbean & listen to live music. That's exactly what you'll get at Moomba, which transforms from a lazy seaside restaurant during the day to a bumping beachfront party at night. The mango-infused Moomba Blues is a mouth-watering delight, but you can't go wrong with an old standby like a mudslide, mai tai or tequila sunrise. It's no wonder CNN chose this place as one of the best beach bars in the world.
