Tips to follow for the best damn vacation…
The Fears of Traveling
Let’s face it: even if it isn’t October, some aspects of travel can be downright spooky. From airport security checks to navigating foreign countries, there’s a lot to worry about. But don’t worry, there are ways to fight the fear and have a great time along the way! You know the Beach Bums got you covered, but let us get one thing out of the way…BOO! That’s what we call exposure therapy.
Handling the Airport This will be something you get used to after going on more Beach Bum vacations, but it can also cause a lot of travelers anxiety. Our best tips are simple: be prepared, review bag requirements at least 1 week before departure, and ensure you are not carrying any illegal substances or items. These simple three tips will take your experience from a scary crawl to swift and easy (for most cases).
The Beach Bums will ensure you know what to expect long before you leave for your trip. For the unpredictable situations that can arise at airports, we recommend staying calm and remaining flexible to the solutions that present themselves.
New Country, Who Dis?
Traveling to a new place is daunting, we’ll admit it. But, that doesn’t mean you should never travel. So because of this, we highly recommend doing a little research or talking to your Beach Bum about your destination. By knowing the simplest of casual manners for your destination you’ll be able to squash any anxiety and travel like a pro (or at least pretend like you’re one). Fake it till you make it with this one. If it helps, most locals and resort staff are more than happy to teach you more about acceptable local mannerisms and cultural expectations!
The Eats & Activities
A whole week in a new place, just whatever are you going to do with yourself? Some people handle this topic like champions, while others fear not having an itinerary. Wherever you fall on this spectrum, it’s important to remember that as long as you choose Beach Bums, you’ll have a vacation filled with amazing eats and exciting activities, along with a little time to do nothing! Our biggest tip is to stay open-minded to new experiences and fully take advantage of the amenities at your resort or hotel. You’ll be snorkeling, enjoying the water park, sipping drinks, relaxing, and, well, the verbs just keep coming! But we’ll leave it at that.
It’s Not Halloween, It’s Vacation
There’s a time and place to be afraid, and we have a whole month and holiday dedicated to it. However, when it comes to your travel, the one thing to remember is that the Beach Bums take all the fear out of vacation planning. Recover from that jump scare in the first paragraph right here.
